Fowler and Fowler is a Credit Report Repair company based in Sebring, Fl.
The company has been in the business for less than ten years. They say will write letters to and dispute with credit bureaus, collection agencies, and when needed courthouses. Unfortunately, according to some customers, it takes 6 to 9 month to complete the credit report process.
Fowler and Fowler offers a “results tracker” that supposedly allows clients to monitor the progress online.
The company raises some immediate concerns. I am highly concerned about their requirement that you pass on credit card information during the sign-up process. I am also concerned that a company as successful as they claim to be cannot afford a professional website.
The Good:
- Fowler and Fowler have a relationship with the BBB.
- They offer a range of communication with credit reporting agencies, creditors, collection agencies and courthouses.
- Web site does give a fair amount of information about the company.
The Bad:
- Fowler and Fowler offers a higher priced monthly fee for their service.
- Web site has child-like design.
- Not a lot of information on the Web site about services provided.
The Ugly:
- The company asks for a client's credit card information in the sign-up process!
- Generate letters and forms that are mass produced and lack the authority of personal letters.
I would try to avoid the higher-priced firms that offer little in return, so Fowler and Fowler doesn't earn my primary recommendation.
